Water/Wastewater

The Carroll County Public Service Authority (PSA) and the Town of Hillsville operate a number of water and waste water treatment systems in Carroll County, serving the Carroll County Industrial Park, the I-77/US 58 commercial area, and various residential areas.

The Town of Hillsville now accepts payments for utility bills online and also by telephone 24 hours a day. If you wish to pay a bill online, click here or call toll free (877) 490-0208 if you wish to pay by telephone. There is a convenience fee to use these services.

Solid Waste Disposal

Carroll County is a member of the Carroll-Grayson-Galax Solid Waste Authority. The Authority operates a landfill, which accepts industrial (non-hazardous) waste. The Town of Hillsville provides waste pickup within the town limits, and a private contractor provides pickup in Carroll County. Private contractors transport hazardous waste to sites in West Virginia or South Carolina.
